Twitter, Facebook, blogging, podcasts, social media, online marketing...

Ever wanted to know just exactly what this is all about?  And, how it could possibly increase the visibility of your business brand?  Or, indeed, your sales?

What previous attendees have said about this session

"I asked Dawn to deliver this course to a number of small business owners and was more than delighted with the delivery of the course.  It was obviously well researched and I know from speaking to all of the attendees that it was very well received.

Sensei Learning and Performance get a big thumbs up from me and I shall look forward to working with Dawn again."

Stephen Brown, The Adventure Team

What will happen at the event?

Following a light breakfast, we will look at the following.

You've heard the hype.  What is social media!?  Why should you bother?

  • Use it to gain new customers and markets and engage further with existing ones.
  • Discover which tools are most appropriate for your business and target audience in Northern Ireland or further afield.
  • Find out how much previous experience and time commitment will be involved.
  • Be amazed by the market research possibilities.
  • Find new suppliers.  Expand your network.
  • Avoid expenses and pitfalls.

This breakfast session is aimed at those in the beginner stages of adopting these online techniques.

There will be time left at the end for questions and networking.

There will be a Practical Workshop on Social Media and Your Business to follow this event, in October/November.  Check the blog later for details.

About the Speaker

The Breakfast Session will be delivered by Dawn Baird, Partner, Sensei Learning and Performance. She speaks, writes and delivers seminars and practical workshops on Social Media for private clients, NI Libraries and QUB.  She also consults on the use of social media in your small business.  Dawn teaches in the School of Education, Queens University Belfast.  She is a prolific blogger and can be found tweeting from dawn ‘til dusk!

Complimentary Coaching

One business will be selected at random, for an individual one hour coaching session on one aspect of social media of your choosing.  Alternatively, you may choose to have a one hour talk delivered in-house to your colleagues.

The word sensei is often applied in modern business to designate a third-party who advises on operational and organizational excellence.  A sensei values people above policies or processes. This is our model.
